I grew up on a berry farm just outside of Columbia, Missouri, where my parents also raised Labrador Retrievers. I graduated from the University of Missouri, before moving to Overland Park, Kansas in 2015, just me and my adorable dog, Fenn. It was here that I fell in love with my husband, Dane, and decided to put down roots. In 2021 we welcomed our first son, Emmett, into the world. He is our greatest pride. All of my mornings begin with coffee, and a little bit of sunshine if the lord allows. I will do anything to be in nature, whether it's a forest or a beach, they both call my name. I love baking, home renovation shows, and grilled cheese is my comfort food. Obsessed with dogs, flowers, and Joanna Gaines.

meet my family
I met Dane in 2016, less than one year after moving to KC (I really believe he was written into my story long before I knew it). He is selfless, thoughtful, and can make friends with just about anyone. He makes a mean sunny-side-up egg, and can actually sing... he's good! The old man to my old lady.
Fenn has been my fur-baby since he was a fresh new puppy (he's 10 years old now!). He's been by my side through all of my biggest life-moments, and I still kind of consider him my first son. He howls to The Office theme song, keeps me humble and laughing. A true example of unconditional love.
Oh, my baby boy Emmett. My greatest pride and joy, the deepest love I've ever known. He is full of curiosity and wonder, and has a smile that lights his whole face. He is the purpose I didn't know I was missing. What a blessing it is to witness his life, to raise him, to know him.
My experience with Leila was a 10/10. From our engagement session to our wedding day, Leila was an absolute pleasure to work with. She's extremely professional and responsive, and always made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera! What I love most is that she is full of creative ideas and shots that I wouldn't have thought of, and those ended up being my favorite shots from our wedding. I would recommend her to absolutely everyone, and her turn around time on getting our photos back was amazing, and truly made my day!

Leila did a phenomenal job capturing so many special moments of our day. Because of her high attention to detail our wedding photos nearly come alive and truly tell the story of our love as a couple as well as the love that surrounds us! She made us very comfortable and relaxed during our couple's portraits; it was easy and fun! Leila also worked great with all of the different family dynamics... and our dog! When going through the gallery its hard to not get emotional because they are so beautiful and reflect so much of "us".

I didn’t think I really wanted maternity photos until we did this shoot with Leila. She made me feel so beautiful and special in my pregnancy. She made us feel very comfortable and directed us well to make sure we were getting interesting and flattering photos. When we got our pictures back from her I was in awe! It was like she captured what our love for each other felt like during this season in a photo.
