Tucked away in its own little space of northern Kansas City, the Chateau Avalon hotel sits alongside its newest companion, the A-Vent Space. A structure comprised of steel and glass, surrounded by vast emerald green trees.

While the architecture lends itself to that of a European getaway, the midwest air was warm and humid. Touches of bright jewel-tones celebrated the Kansas summer while deeper hues of purple, blue, and gold anticipated the coolness of autumn.

The ceremony altar offered an extension of the outdoors. Greenery grew up from the floor, accented by plum and lavender, encompassing the couple..

As newlyweds, Monica and Blake shared a space, just the two of them. Apart from the heat and the crowds, the bustle surrounding them was no match for the attention of each other. Sweet and friendly, with an unmistakable trust.

They settled along serpentine tables draped in velvet, sharing stories and laughter, drinks and desserts.

A day meant only for them.
